I have been MIA since our Scrap Buffet last July 11th, i’ve been so overwhelmed with the success of the buffet i had to take time off and savor it all Before anything, a big hugs and thanks to Lee Imao who brought up the concept of the Scrap Buffet. As much as I would like to take credit for it, this wonderful lady had this idea lulling in her mind. . . it was just a matter of executing it. To which, i owe another hug a really LARGE group hug to the PS Mods, Candy Lagazon, Nita Ang, Au Lim, Cabbie Lopes and Lee as well who is also a mod of PS; our SA DT’s Christine Villacarlos, Nita Ang and Au Lim (yup dual role ang mga beauty hehe); my former partner Mia, especially to her generous cardstock donations and ofcourse, our raffles and buffet would not have been complete with Mitch Sy of Visual Creations.
A bit of honorable menton goes out to my super assistant Lhenlhen, along with Susan and Niknik who painstakingly packed each button, remove each die cut and made sure all the buffet materials were in it proper order. Same goes to our buffet attendees who were assisting our participants with the paper, embellishments, even our chair massage!
But most of all, the Scrap Buffet would not have been a success to all our participants! A big, big thank you for YOU!
Just to give you an idea, this concept has been under discussion since May i believe? We would meet either at my place in Makati or like our last meeting before D-Day was in Starbucks, Banawe. The energy of all the brainstorming was truly inspiring! Especially when we had the mock buffet, which was our gauge how we would do the whole flow.
Au and the love of her life . . . her camera
Hanging out at Starbucks Banawe, we were there from 10am to almst 4pm!
Yes, since I announced the event I have been a nervous wreck and bottomless pit but with these ladies behind me the big day went smoothly. And to see all those layouts and cards being churned table after table! What a totally productive day!
Do watch out for the ScrapBuffet photos, which I shall upload soon as I have put them together.
Rest assured Studio Azul is brewing something again, something different, and totally fun. And this time, i think i’ll take Lee’s advice and get a roving masahista LOL
Take a peek at the layouts made by the PS Mods and SA DT’s from our mock buffet,
they might seem familiar since I also used them to make the sketches for your handouts HERE. Enjoy!
July Kit 2009: Riding on the Wings . . .
I’m a big Mishka Adams fan and I had to find an excuse to feature her music. Her hauntingly beautiful voice brings a fantasy of images of an exotic land far, far away.
